What a beautiful way to spend New Year's Day. The sun was shining & the sheep were loving it! The Abbey is such a wonderful, historical place. The grounds are fantastic. There were so many friendly people out walking. We were a little disappointed to see that there were a large number of people using the car park & also walking around the Abbey that didn't put anything into the 'honesty box'. Admittedly, we didn't have any cash or a mobile signal, so we donated on the website when we got home. I'm hoping that all the other people did the same as I'm sure the upkeep is costly. We definitely want to return when the tearooms are open, as we've heard great reports!!

"Historical, tranquil, beautiful; Open to the public all year round" Indeed it is. There is a car park on the opposite side of the road. There is an honesty box for paying your £5 per person entrance fee by cash or QR code linked transfer. It is very well worth it. Magical. Memorable.

A beautiful place to spend time in nature. Take a picnic and sit and soak up the atmosphere and fresh air. Plenty of parking just across the road and honesty box to pay at the Abbey or QR code to pay on your phone.

Interesting ruins made more picturesque with plants taking over . Set in beautiful surroundings with the car park just over the road . There is no charge to visit with an honesty box at the entrance for donations .

A really peaceful, tranquil and well kept set of ruins. Lots of wildlife in evidence, especially birds. The tearoom is closed permanently, and there are no toilet facilities on-site. A lovely place for a picnic, or to while away a couple of hours, wandering at will. Entry is free, but there is an honesty box and also some well-produced guidebooks at the entrance to the abbey itself. Thoroughly recommended.

Extensive ruins of a huge Abbey. Privately owned so admission by honesty box,£5. Short walk through a field of sheep to reach the ruins, watch where you walk! Decent car park across the road, again an honesty box for £1. Mention of a tea room but didn't find it.

What a very interesting day. Still relying on an honesty box for entry, and for the guidebook, we paid, of course. It is very good at explaining what the various rooms would have been. Very well worth the visit, just a shame the tea room is no longer open.
